Master craftsman and third generation of a family trade. My father taught me to repair footwear in this very workshop, and I haven't stopped learning since. Every boot that comes in is a different challenge: I study it, choose the exact outsole and hand it back ready for many more kilometres.

Zapatería Hípola opened in Madrid in 1986. Four decades on, we are still resoling, restitching and bringing footwear back to life in the same workshop. We have gone from leather outsoles to Vibram and Pegafort, but the craft is learned the same way: with your hands and over time.
A resole done properly is not a patch-up. It means understanding the mechanics of the shoe, the bonding pressure, the stitching that withstands flex, the exact outsole for the use. None of that comes from a tutorial; it comes from 40+ years looking after mountaineers, climbers, trail runners and mountain professionals.
We work with Vibram, Michelin, Five Ten, La Sportiva, Andes and JMA. We use the Pegafort system to bond outsole and midsole on technical footwear, with heat-sealed finishing on every resole. It is the same technique used by federated teams and professionals.
We give a fixed quote over WhatsApp in under 1 hour from a single photo. If it isn't worth it or you aren't happy, you simply leave it. Transparency and honesty are what keep customers coming back for decades.
