Preguntas frecuentes
Which Vibram sole do you use on my boots?+
It depends on the use. Megagrip for versatile trekking, Ibex for mountaineering on hard snow, Mont for technical high-altitude terrain. We confirm it on WhatsApp once we've seen a photo of the model — just tell us what terrain you use them on.
Is it worth resoling a €200 boot, or is it past saving?+
If the upper is sound (leather or fabric with no large cracks and no separation), resoling saves you 60–70% of the cost of an equivalent new boot. Send us a photo and we'll tell you, no obligation.
How long does a mountain boot resole last?+
A new Vibram sole with a solid Pegafort bond lasts 400–800 km in the mountains depending on use (more for trekking, less for technical rock climbing). The bonding carries a lifetime guarantee.
Do you repair Gore-Tex boots without ruining the membrane?+
Yes. We work without piercing the waterproof lining. If the upper has a tear that affects the membrane, we warn you first and decide together whether it's worth it.
How do I know if my boots need resoling?+
If the sole is smooth, cracked or has come away from the upper, it's time to resole. Other clear signs: you lose grip on wet ground, you can see the midsole showing through, or water gets in at the sole-upper join. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll confirm whether it's worth it.
How much does it cost to resole mountain boots?+
Between €65 and €90 depending on the model, the Vibram compound chosen and whether side restitching or upper treatment is needed. We give you a fixed quote on WhatsApp before touching anything.
