Why we recommend these trail trainers
We repair trail running trainers from every brand, so we know which ones really last. The ones we recommend share three things: an outsole-to-midsole bond that responds well to the Pegafort system, a Vibram or Contagrip outsole that can be resoled, and a build that doesn't come apart at the seams straight away.
Salomon Speedcross, Hoka Speedgoat and La Sportiva Bushido are the ones we see come back to the workshop most for a second life — and that's exactly what we're after: footwear worth repairing rather than throwing away. Before buying a new pair, remember it almost always works out cheaper to resole the ones you already have.
These are affiliate links with Amazon and Decathlon. We earn a small commission when you buy through them, it costs you nothing extra and you help keep the workshop going. Prices are indicative — the shop shows the live price and availability.
