Sending footwear in for repair from outside Madrid

A courier that calls at your door, for €18 round trip on the mainland, and a fixed price before you send anything. How to send your boots to the workshop without setting foot in Madrid.

Boots reach us from Barcelona, Valencia, Asturias and the Canaries. The question is always the same: how do I get a pair of boots to Madrid, what is all the shuffling going to cost me, and when do I pay?

Here is the whole process, with the real prices and, above all, with what we do not cover. If you would rather go straight to the service page, it is at nationwide pick-up.

What the shipping costs

The shipping price doesn't depend on what you send, it depends on where you send it from:

Off the mainland we say it upfront, not afterwards

In the Balearics, the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla we cannot include the courier in the €18. You pay for and arrange the shipping, both ways.

We put it right at the top rather than in the small print because it seems the fair thing to do: if you live in Las Palmas or Palma, you need the full sum before you decide, not once the boots are already boxed.

How it works, step by step

1. Photo on WhatsApp and your province. We tell you whether it can be fixed, what we would do and what it costs. Fixed quote before you move anything.

2. We generate the courier label. The driver calls at your home at whatever time suits you. No office to find, no queue, nothing to arrange.

3. You pay when you send it. Bizum or bank transfer for the price we've already fixed, not a euro more.

4. Repair and return. Before the parcel goes back we send you a photo of the finished work, and the courier drops it back within 24 to 48 hours.

When you pay, and why there are no surprises

It is the question we get asked most on WhatsApp. You pay when you send us the footwear, by Bizum or bank transfer, and you pay exactly the price we fixed from the photo.

Sending boots 400 kilometres to a workshop you have never set foot in is daunting. That is why the price is in writing on WhatsApp before you pack anything, and before we send them back you get a photo of the finished work.

What is worth sending and what isn't

The sum is simple: add the repair and the shipping, and compare it with what replacing that footwear would cost you.

✅ Mid and upper range technical footwear. Mountain boots are €65 for the resole plus €18 shipping, €83 in total, against the €150 or €300 of a new pair.

✅ Footwear that already fits you. A last moulded to your foot isn't sold in any shop, and it is why most of the parcels we get aren't really about money.

✅ Discontinued models. Once what you wear is no longer made, the workshop is the only shop you have left.

❌ €40 or €50 trainers. Between repair and shipping you get close to the price of replacing them.

❌ A wrecked upper or a dead midsole. We tell you from the photo, before you spend a euro on a courier.

What you do have to do

The packing. Any cardboard box that holds up will do, nothing special needed. Put the footwear in clean of mud, with crumpled paper inside so it doesn't rattle around, and stick the label we send you on the outside.

If you are sending a pair, send both even if only one boot has failed: almost every job is done to both feet so the wear stays even.

Where people write to us from

Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, the Canaries, Asturias, Galicia. The story is nearly always the same: in their city they can't find anyone who resoles technical footwear, or whoever does it doesn't work with Vibram outsoles or with the Pegafort system.

We are not going to tell you we are the only workshop in Spain doing this, because it isn't true. What we will tell you is that if you can't find it where you live, Madrid is 48 hours of courier and one WhatsApp photo away.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the shipping?+

€18 round trip on mainland Spain, collected from your home. In the Balearics, the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla the shipping is at your cost and you arrange it.

When do I pay for the repair?+

When you send it, by Bizum or bank transfer, with the price already fixed on WhatsApp. Before we send it back you get a photo of the finished work.

Do I have to book the courier myself?+

No. We generate the label and the driver collects from your home at whatever time you prefer. All you do is pack it.

How long does the whole thing take?+

The courier is 48 to 72 hours out and 24 to 48 hours back. The workshop turnaround depends on the job and we fix it when we give you the quote.

And if it turns out it can't be fixed?+

The photo filters out almost everything beforehand, but if we open the parcel and find something that wasn't visible, we tell you with a photo and you decide before we do anything.
